As Tunisia moves toward a knowledge-based economy, the country’s higher education institutions are working to offer more adaptive and innovative training programs that respond directly to labour market needs. This project aims to develop high-quality, market-relevant training that strengthens Tunisia’s competitiveness and supports graduates’ successful professional integration, including pathways to self-employment.
Through this partnership, ISBST’s bachelor’s degree program in biotechnology will be revised, with a focus on the Biotechnology in the Pharmaceutical Industry track, to better align with national labour market demand. The project will integrate gender-sensitive teaching practices, recruitment strategies and career preparation activities to reduce barriers to professional integration and entrepreneurship for women, promote more inclusive outcomes for all learners and attract more men to a field traditionally perceived as female.
