BCDI 2030 Partners, Funding and Management

Strategic Partners

To ensure our programming is meeting partner countries’ labour market and development needs, BCDI 2030 builds on partnerships with regional organizations and ministries responsible for higher education, including technical education.

West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA)

Association of African Universities (AAU)

African Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS)

Steering Committee

BCDI 2030 is guided by a steering committee comprised of representatives from Colleges and Institutes Canada, Universities Canada, Global Affairs Canada, UEMOA, AAU, AIMS and one representative from partner countries not covered by the strategic partners. The committee endorses the recommendations of the technical committee for the implementation plan, annual work plans and narrative reports. This decision-making body guarantees the program respects its principles and achieves its desired results.

Funding and Management

The program leverages Canada’s post-secondary education network of more than 230 colleges and universities — more than 60 of which are francophone — and the long-standing partnerships that Canada’s post-secondary institutions have in developing countries.
