This project is one of five professional development training programs designed exclusively for BCDI 2030 Scholars. Developed and delivered by Canadian higher education institutions, this innovative training series supports Scholars in planning their next steps, building on their experience in Canada and strengthening their long-term career paths.
Fanshawe College, in partnership with Collège Boréal, delivers interactive training sessions to help Scholars prepare for their return home following their time studying in Canada. Through practical exercises and guided reflection, Scholars will develop an individualized Back-Home Plan that helps them navigate their next steps with confidence.
Subjects covered:
- Defining personal and professional goals.
- Identifying resources, skills, networks and relationships on which to draw to facilitate reintegration and achieve those goals.
- Anticipating potential challenges and devising strategies and supports to help overcome them.
- Developing concrete action plans.
- Strengthening employability skills.
