This project aims to address the shortage of qualified orthoprosthetists in Senegal by offering eight graduate students from the Institut supérieur d’études paramédicales de Mbour (ISEM), including five women, 350 hours of training at Collège Montmorency. The four-month course will lead to college certification in orthotics, prosthetics and orthopedic care.
Recognized internationally and within the college network, this training will enable scholars to master computer-aided design technologies, specialized software, synthetic materials, and acquire skills in orthopedic care.
Adapted to promote equality and inclusion, this initiative will strengthen ISEM by developing local expertise, reducing dependence on foreign trainers and contributing to the empowerment of Senegal’s only orthoprosthetic training institution.
