IVADO is an interdisciplinary, cross-sectoral research and knowledge mobilization consortium whose mission is to develop and promote a robust, reasoning and responsible AI. It is led by Université de Montréal with four university partners (Polytechnique Montréal, HEC Montréal, Université Laval and McGill University).
This project, led by the IVADO consortium, supports Cameroun and Haiti in developing artificial intelligence (AI) and mathematics tailored to local priorities. It aims to train AI experts, strengthen infrastructure, and develop a new generation of scientists who are attuned to regional challenges.
The project is strengthening partnerships to broaden research topics, with a focus on cross-sectoral issues such as health, the environment, governance, ethics and diversity.
Participants undertake internships within IVADO’s industrial and research community, complete leadership and entrepreneurship training, attend major conferences, and apply what they have learnt to initiatives in their home countries.
