This project addresses the growing demand in Rwanda and South Africa for professionals skilled in quantum computing systems. It offers master’s students and recent graduates from the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) collaborative, cutting-edge training and the opportunity to earn a Graduate Certificate in Quantum Computing from the University of Calgary.
Participants gain advanced skills in quantum computing software, hardware and applications, with a focus on industry adoption, platform deployment and organizational growth. They also engage in professional development and mentorship to prepare for careers in quantum and allied technology sectors.
This training equips scholars to drive innovation, support quantum-related business development, and advise on strategies for deploying quantum technologies in the private and public sectors, fostering entrepreneurship and technological advancement in their home countries.
