This collaborative project between Brandon University and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) aims to train new leaders for sustainable rural development in Ghana. It will provide graduate students with solid theoretical and practical training in sustainable rural development. The Brandon University Rural Development Institute (RDI) will play an important role in this process by providing spring and summer research internships to Ghanaian students enrolled in the project. RDI has a policy-oriented research approach and long-term experience in large-scale research projects. These programs will provide KNUST and Ghana with the necessary expertise to effectively advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
