This scholarship project aims to strengthen partnerships and empower women in STEM fields, particularly in mathematics and statistics. This pioneering project focuses on outstanding graduate students at African Institute for Mathematical Sciences, aligning their interests and skills with mentors in Memorial University of Newfoundland’s (MUN) Department of Mathematics and Statistics for M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs. With co-supervision from African Institute for Mathematical Sciences and local universities, students receive a comprehensive learning experience. This collaboration broadens students’ perspectives, exposing them to diverse research methodologies and specialized areas not available locally, while nurturing strong bonds between students and supervisors.
