The BCDI 2030 program team will be participating in the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) 2024 National Conference, to be held in Ottawa from November 3 to 6, 2024.
We’re thrilled to be hosting a session where attendees can learn how the Canadian International Development Scholarships 2030 (BCDI 2030) program is helping to support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This French-language session will explore the gender equality, environment and employability strategies of BCDI 2030-funded projects from Canadian institutions and their partners. Funded by Global Affairs Canada and implemented by Colleges and Institutes Canada and Universities Canada, the program draws on the expertise of its member institutions, acting as a lever for their internationalization.
Presenters will share best practices in implementing an inclusive and gender-sensitive scholarship process, discuss sustainable approaches within funded projects and provide examples of international collaborations aimed at meeting partner countries skills needs.
Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how BCDI 2030 contributes to the internationalization of higher education in Canada while supporting the global effort to achieve the SDGs. The session will also encourage active participation, with presenters inviting reflections and questions from participants throughout. Through this interactive exchange, international education professionals will be able to draw parallels to their own practices and explore ways to implement these strategies in future projects.
Join us to learn more about the impact of BCDI 2030 on global development!
