This partnership contributes to the establishment of a more inclusive, responsive and better-adapted Technical Education and Vocational Training (TEVT) system in Guinea-Bissau, thereby strengthening the country’s long-term economic and social development. It assists the National Institute for Technical and Vocational Training (INAFOR) and Guinea-Bissau’s Ministry of Public Administration, Employment, and Vocational Training to implement and manage the new National Qualifications Framework (NQF), which aims to align training with labour market needs, improve program quality, and address the severe shortage of skilled workers in priority sectors.
The project also supports the management teams of five selected technical training institutions and helps INAFOR trainers test the NQF by developing or revising five training programs. The partnership places strong emphasis on competency-based approaches, gender-responsive training, leadership development and entrepreneurship.
