This partnership aims to strengthen the institutional and academic capacities of Amílcar Cabral University (UAC), Guinea-Bissau’s only public university. The project will support the revision of training programs in education sciences and agronomy in order to better align curricula with labor market needs while integrating gender-sensitive approaches. By modernizing course content and program structure, the partnership aims to ensure that graduates acquire practical and relevant skills that meet national development priorities.
At the same time, the project will strengthen UAC’s internal capacities through targeted professional development for teachers, researchers, and administrators. Activities include training in pedagogy, applied research, transformational leadership, and intrapreneurship, as well as advanced technical training in agronomy and education. The partnership will also strengthen university management skills in key administrative and governance functions, thereby supporting UAC’s long-term capacity to deliver high-quality, inclusive, and labor market-relevant higher education.
