Over three academic years (2026-2027, 2027-2028, 2028-2029) this project will offer 19 scholarships to students from Côte d’Ivoire (Université Polytechnique de San Pedro) and Senegal (Centre Trainmar and Université Cheikh Anta Diop) for study stays in Canada.

The Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR) offers scholarship recipients three specialized post-graduate diplomas: Maritime Resource Management, Oceanography and Analysis, and Prevention of Natural Hazards. The Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles offers two attestations of college studies: Fish farming and Bivalve farming and macroalgae culture in the marine environment

Candidate Profile:

Full-time students enrolled at one of our partner institutions in Senegal or Côte d'Ivoire in a degree program directly related to sustainable development.
Particular attention will be paid to academic excellence and linguistic success.

The project will welcome three cohorts of scholars for the 2026-2027, 2027-2028 and 2028-2029 academic years. Application periods will take place each January, with a view to welcoming scholars at the start of the fall semesters.
