Enhancing teachers’ research skills and developing research collaborations

This project aims to strengthen the research capacity of professors at partner institutions, create new research collaborations between the Université de Sherbrooke and its partners, and support master’s students and research interns who represent the next generation of university faculty in their home countries. Their participation in this project will help generate clusters of collaborators whose exchanges will extend over several years.

The project offers three types of scholarship:

1) Professorial mobility to follow a research skills enrichment microprogram;

2) Master’s mobility: students from the partners will be selected to follow a master’s program at the Université de Sherbrooke;

3) Research internship mobility under the supervision of a Université de Sherbrooke researcher.

Candidate Profile:

General criteria :
• More than 50% women
• Working or studying in one of the priority areas identified by partner universities

Criteria by type of mobility:
• Professorial mobility: research professor profile
• Master's mobility: students eligible for a master's degree at the University of Sherbrooke
• Mobilité stage de recherche : personnes étudiantes de niveau master ou doctorat

Number of scholarship positions:

25

Length of Stay in Canada:

Senegal :
• Researchers: 4 months
• Students on research placement: 6 months

Côte d'Ivoire :
• Researchers: 4 months
• Research students: 6 months
• Master's students: 1 or 2 years depending on master's degree

Application period:

Between fall 2025 and winter 2026. Further calls for applications may be issued at a later date to distribute the remaining scholarships
