“One Health” is a transdisciplinary approach that aims to balance and optimize the health of people, animals and ecosystems in order to respond collectively, responsibly and sustainably to a range of global challenges from a perspective of common good. By focusing on training for One Health skills development, this scholarship project aims to train experts who will be able to integrate this approach into teaching, research or their practice environment in Benin, Burkina Faso and Senegal. A total of nine scholarships will be available – three in each country. The Université de Montréal’s One Health training programs will also help develop a community of experts from various disciplines who will be able to work and innovate together to better respond to current and future challenges threatening global health by acting on the human-animal-environment interface.
