BCDI 2030 at the CBIE National Conference — Tuesday, Nov. 4

In times of uncertainty and transformation, how can we equitably co-create sustainable international partnerships in higher education?

Join us at the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) National Conference in Québec City for our French-language panel session:

Coconstruire des partenariats internationaux équitables en enseignement supérieur : Stratégies et pratiques pour un développement durable
Tuesday, November 4
 1:15–2:15 PM

This session will bring together Canadian higher education institutions engaged in implementing the Canadian International Development Scholarships 2030 (BCDI 2030) program. These individuals have developed scholarship and partnership projects in Africa in close collaboration with local higher education institutions.

Our presenters:

  • Patrick Dany Razakamananifidiny, Advisor in International Development, Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR)
  • Virginie Pesant, Head of Student Mobility and International Partnerships, Laval University

Through their testimonials, presenters will share concrete strategies to ensure projects are truly co-constructed, responding directly to the needs expressed by international partners. The discussion will highlight:

  • Practices that promote equity in decision-making
  • Ways to reconcile the priorities of Canadian institutions with those of partner institutions abroad
  • Lessons learned from projects that strengthen collaboration, sustainability, and mutual benefit

This session is designed for project leaders, administrators, faculty, and international partners who want to deepen their approach to equitable and sustainable collaboration.

See you in Québec City!
